Pepe and Palooka

Pepe

Pepe Blanco Romansanta is a gunner is his early forties from Galicia in North West Spain; he speaks with a thick regional accent but has long service on mars. Pepe has a badly scarred face from an encounter with High Martians in the ‘early days’.

Pepe is also quite a scary evil bastard. If you cross him you know about it but if you play be the rules, well you are OK. He is not a man to forgive of forget but a competent sailor that is capable of far more than mere gunnery. Sadly his inability to not 'get even' has stopped him from becoming a petty officer.

Palooka

'Juan 'Palooka' Ortiz is another gunner but he is from the slums of Madrid where he earned a living as a brawler. He is in his early thirties and loves a good bare knuckle fight.

Both are capable sky sailors with more than enough experience in the sky navy. 

Palooka is a brawer and he loves a good fight more than anything else. He gets in to the spirit of it and does not like to stop; ever. He is rumoured to have thrown two Martian prisoners overboard when he was ‘guarding’ them but this is properly just a piece of gossip.

Both are proud sailors who are not keen to take slights but are also good at their roles. If handled fairly and with decency, there is a very good chance of getting the best from them. If poorly treated then it will not end well.
