Phoenicis Lacus is an ancient Martian Holy Site of the Moon Cult of Phobos. It is a small city of a mere 30,000 inhabitants and the far end of the Sirenia canal in the heart of the Syria Steppe. It is a trading centre for the High Martian tribes that inhabit the steppe. There is a Belgian consulate and a small number of US and European traders.
