Sirenia is a wealthy lowland city at the eastern end of the Citian basin. Two of the five canals entering the city are non-flowing but provide excellent agricultural land with farming dominating the local economy. It is also at the head of the major trade route across the Memnonia steppe to Phoenicus Lacus the Belgian Coprates beyond.
Sirenia is ruled by the elderly but capable Prince Aftrei who usurped the old ruler Prince Trianum in a bloodless coup ten years ago. Prince Aftrei has drastically improved the army and cracked down on the corruption that used to flourish under the old regime.
The city is indifferent to humans and happy to trade with them though is wary of the growing Spanish influence. Prince Aftrei is ambitious and keen to extend his rule to other cities especially Gandahaar but warry of getting involved in a major war.
